2009 THEME WEEKENDS

MAY 2:   BLAST OFF WEEKEND
9:00am We will be making birdfeeders out of pine cones that we find in the park. Join us at the pavilion. $.25 to make your own feeder.

10:30am After crafts we will be introducing to you a new mascot. So bring the family to welcome the mascot to the park.

12:00pm After meeting with the mascot join us for a fun filled game of kickball. Meet at the pavilion before the game.

1:00pm If kickball didn`t wear you out how about a game of volleyball. The volleyball game will be held at the volleyball court by the pavilion.

2:00pm Time for some more arts and crafts. This time we will be making coffee filter butterflies. Create you very own butterfly for $.50.

MAY 3:   BLAST OFF WEEKEND
10:00am-1:00pm While you are packing up from the weekend bring your kids to the pavilion for some last crafts. We will be painting using marbles instead of paint brushes. Also we will be decorating little people $.50 each.

To start off the season the General Store will be having a sale on some merchandise.

MAY 9 & 10:   MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND
Treat mom to a weekend of stress-free camping. We will make mom a mothers day craft and a special craft for all moms. Family games with mom always as a winner. Mom will be treated to a Sunday breakfast at the pavilion.

MAY 16 & 17:   ARMED FORCES WEEKEND
Lets show our men and women who serve the U.S. how proud we are of them. A tribute to all those who have served and those currently serving our country will take place. Please bring your uniform or hat.

MAY 23 TO 25:   MEMORIAL WEEKEND
Be sure to make it up on this holiday weekend. Many new activities and a Saturday night band will be on the schedule.

JUNE 6 & 7:   SCOUTING WEEKEND
This weekend we provide the Girls & Boys Scouts a fun filled weekend of learning. All local scouting groups are welcomed. Many scout related activities and sporting events will be on the schedule. Call the office for details how your troop can participate in this truly inspiring weekend.

JUNE 13 & 14:   SPRING FLEA MARKET
Clean out the garage and basement! Haul it to the resort, then buy someone else’s stuff and take it home. Come for the day or the weekend for some relaxing fun shopping. You never know what treasure you might find.

JUNE 20 & 21:   FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND
This is Dad's special weekend. We’ll have horseshoe tournaments, poker games and a fishing contest. A father son dodge ball games followed by a special Saturday night BBQ.

JUNE 27 & 28:   SAFETY WEEKEND
Safety is IMPORTANT!!!! Information and demonstrations on bike safety, skateboarding, first aid, Fire safety and Law enforcement will take place. Adults and children will learn how to prevent the next accident.

JULY 4 & 5:   July 4th WEEKEND
Good old American fun will be on the schedule. Show your colors in our July 4th parade, decorate your bikes and baby carriages. Prizes will be awarded. Horseshoe tournaments, crafts and a Saturday night band will be on the schedule.

JULY 11 & 12:   WILD AND WET WEEKEND
We will have a wet and wild time doing swim races, water balloon toss, noodle races, cannonball contest and the sponge toss. Saturday night the band will be at the pool with a tiki party.

JULY 18 & 19   BIG SUMMER FLEA MARKET
A full schedule of activities along with a Talent show during the Saturday night band breaks. Don’t forget to Buy and Sell over and over.

JULY 25 & 26:   CHRISTMAS IN JULY
What do you mean Santa only comes once a year! Get in the holiday spirit with decorating the tree, holiday crafts for adults and kids. Santa will visit on Saturday afternoon, (parents call ahead for details). Please bring a new toy for the local “Toys for Tots” program.

AUGUST 1 & 2:   1ST TEXAS BBQ WEEKEND
All cowboys and cowgirls are welcome. Don’t miss our 1st Texas BBQ Hoedown and bring your hat. Tickets and advance reservations are required for the dinner (pulled pork, ribs and some special sides). A country western dance follows the dinner. See ya all there.

AUGUST 8 & 9:   PAWS IN THE PARK
Don’t forget your pooper scooper this weekend. We will have a pet show and tell everyone how your pet is so special. A special dog walk pet parade will go around the park. Plenty of prizes and activities all weekend long.

AUGUST 15 & 16:   TREASURE HUNT AND BIKE RALLY
Two special treasure hunts, one in the afternoon and one at night will take place. All campers with motorcycles will go on an all-day ride with a lunch stop at noon. All kids with bicycles will go on a special bike hike through the tenting area and trails.

AUGUST 22 & 23:   HALLOWEEN IN AUGUST
Bring the Candy!! We will have a full schedule of activities including holiday arts and crafts, tournaments, and trick or treating in the park Saturday afternoon followed by a dance.

AUGUST 29 & 30:   2ND SUMMER FLEA MARKET AND GOLF TOURNAMENT You liked it so much in July, here it is again. Sell right from your site to everyone walking by. The one in one contest will take place Saturday morning and the golf tournament will follow in the afternoon. Please sign up in advance for the golf tournament.

SEPT 4 TO 7:   LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Enjoy the last summer weekend with friends and family. There will be a full schedule of activities, the Rondout Valley 2009 Dodge ball Championship Games, and a Saturday night dance. Let the Games BEGIN!!

SEPT. 12 & 13:   BACK TO SCHOOL BLUES
Not everyone is Blue. Senior arts and crafts and a potluck dinner are on Saturday night at the Sales deck. All kids play mini golf free on Saturday afternoon.

SEPT. 19 & 20:   GET OUTTA TOWN WEEKEND
Come to the country and enjoy a beautiful late summer weekend. Apple picking at local orchards and fall festivals are always fun. A hot dog BBQ and apple dessert social on Saturday night.

SEPT. 26 & 27:   FALL FLEA MARKET WEEKEND
Our theme for this flea market will be arts and crafts and all homemade items. A schedule of other fun activities will also be available.

OCT. 3 & 4:   OKTOBERFEST WEEKEND
Come enjoy the beginning of the fall season. A full schedule of activities along with the Saturday night Oktoberfest. The resort will provide the bratwurst, knockwurst and hot dogs. Campers please bring a side dish to share and a dessert.

OCT. 10 TO 12:   COLUMBUS WEEKEND
This is the last big warm 3-day weekend of the 2009 season. We’ll have plenty of activities and a Saturday night dance.

OCT. 24 & 25:   SENIORS CRAFT WEEKEND
An indoor craft show and demo’s will be in the pavilion with coffee and hot chocolate.

OCT. 31:   HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
This is the real Halloween. Trick or treat in the park. Saturday night dance with haunted hayrides leaving every 13 minutes. Plus we will have a full schedule of activities. Come if you Dare.

NOV. 28:   THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
Don’t miss our annual Thanksgiving Feast. The resort cooks the turkeys on a grill and you bring the sides. Let’s all give thanks for a great season of camping.

All activities are subject to change. Full weekend activity schedules are available at the resort office upon arrival.
